Amazing Medical Stories follows the lives of people with rare and surprising medical afflictions and documents the remarkable medical treatments that are used to cure them. From a man falling into a churning cement mixer, to a baby born with four legs, each episode tells stories that range from unusual accidents to one-of-a-kind conditions. Each story begins as a medical mystery, gradually revealing the condition and symptoms until finally the right physician comes along to make a diagnostic breakthrough. This series is an inspiring celebration of science and human inventiveness triumphing over illness, accidents and disease.

In this animated episode of three interrelated stories, a middle-class, suburban family, is seen through the eyes of their put-upon dog.

Four tales are compiled from the popular television series. After a death row inmate (Patrick Swayze) is struck by lightning, he discovers he's received the Christ-like ability to heal others, prompting a race to save him from the electric chair. An author (Sam Waterston) is haunted by an apparition in mirrors. A psychic (Gregory Hines) reads the mind of a serial killer but doesn't know which member of his audience the thoughts come from. A painter (Harvey Keitel) mourns his wife's death.

This anthology gathers four episodes of the 1985-87 television series "Amazing Stories." Santa Claus (Douglas Seale) gets arrested when a burglar alarm goes off as he's delivering presents. A lonely bachelor (John Lithgow) buys a mysterious doll. A museum thief (Danny DeVito) gives a purloined ring to his wife (Rhea Perlman), unaware that the previous owner's ghost inhabits it, and 75 years after he accidentally caused a train to crash, an old man (Roberts Blossom) waits for his penance.
